Clinical Psychologist and Neurofeedback Practitioner
Melinda (she/her) is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of The Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA). With 10 years experience as a psychologist working with a broad range of mental health concerns, her primary focus has been treatment of long-term emotional and interpersonal difficulties associated with complex trauma. Her approach is always focused on building an authentic relationship through which her clients can feel safe, validated, and supported in making the changes in their lives that uniquely suit them.
Melinda has completed a PhD (Clinical Psychology) in neurofeedback treatment for Traumatic Brain Injury. In addition, she has completed Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA) approved training in neurofeedback treatment for a range of other difficulties including ADHD, depression and anxiety, trauma, chronic pain and fatigue, and peak performance.
At Resonate, Melinda likes to focus on the big picture. She understands that brain activity is only one aspect of your emotional wellbeing. She is interested in who you are as a person, not just what your brain looks like, and takes an integrative approach to therapy. This means she will take your lead on what changes you’d like to see and draw on the evidence-based neuroscience, psychology, and psychosocial strategies to get you there.
